Winter Classic Rules
The Camel Pub and Restaurant Winter Classic 2009 - Four Ball Team Scramble
Rules of the Day
1. All four players tee off (White tees Men, Red tees Ladies)
2. Choose the best ball and place a marker next to the ball before it is played by the player whose ball it is.
After it is played, the other three players place their ball within six inches of the marker, not nearer the hole,
and play the shot. (The ball is placed not dropped, even in rough or bunkers, or in a hazard should the team elect
to hit from one). This applies for all shots up to the green.
3. On the green, choose the best ball and mark it. All players, in any order, put from that marker. A player
must not putt-out until all players have played from that marker. Should a player putt out it shall constitute the
team score. If the ball is not holed on the first putt by one of the team, then the process is repeated until the
ball is holed out and the score noted.
4. On the scorecard enter the four names, including the individual handicaps, which make up the team. The
handicaps will be added together and divided by 10, which makes up the Team handicap.
5. Maximum handicap allowed is 32 for men and 36 for Ladies. Note: If there are players in the Tournament
without recognized handicaps, the Tournament Director may elect to decide the winning team on Gross scores only
6. Each of the four players in each team must have at least three tee shots taken and marked on the score card,
as the best ball chosen for the second shot. The other six tee shots may be taken from any player.
7. All other Rules of Golf are as laid down by the R&A, the USGA and Emerald local rules apply.
